With more people becoming health conscious, grilling your foods has become increasingly popular.  To enable you to grill everything from whole fish, burgers, and sliced fruits and vegetables, there is a grilling  basket available at most places that offer barbecue grills.

This basket comes in so many sizes, with or without a handle or lid, that there is no reason everyone with a grill does not own one.  There is a great basket with compartments so you can grill an entire meal at one time in one container.  Imagine taking some seasoned fish steaks, marinated sliced veggies, lemon and orange slices and placing it all in a basket that is placed on top of the grill and slowly cooked absorbing the flavor of mesquite wood?

What a delicious meal at a low cost and fancy enough to offer to the most persnickety company.  Using a grill basket enables all your food to be cooked with little or no added fat making it a healthy choice in your diet.  Some of the best features of these grill add-ons are the variety of sizes from shallow pan-size to flat for fish and burgers, lids that secure to keep food in place and enable flipping for even cooking, handles that keep your hands away from the heat and nonstick finishes for easy clean up and care.

The ones with handles are not dishwasher safe but there are those with a detachable handle that enable the use of the dishwasher to clean the basket.  How many times have you had a burger or hot dog fall through the grill right onto the coals?  This is annoying to say the least and you can bet that friends and family will not let you forget the mishap any time soon.  Using a grill basket keeps all the food safe from unexpected descent, cooks them evenly and makes serving a breeze.  Just open the lid or shake the food out of the basket onto the serving dish.

Looking to impress someone with your grilling expertise?  Then a grill basket is a must if you want to lay out a barbecue spread like one of those great cooking shows we all know we watch from time to time.  For as little as $20, you can add an accessory to your outside cooking arsenal that will enable you to cook healthier, with unlimited menu options and even some fun.  I wonder if a pizza would work.

Grill Basket

What’s more frustrating than taking the time to prepare some fresh veggies – I mean going all out, blanching or marinating them, and seasoning them to a “T” just to watch them fall through the grill onto the coals?
